Measuring for the nose measurement should be done just below the cheek bone and completely around the nose with the second measurement done from that spot up over the head to the same spot on the other side

I like snug measurements from you and I will allow a couple of inches for comfort.
If your Equine has an odd shaped head I suggest you take a few more measurements.
This mainly applies to mini horses and all long ears, as God made them special and each one unique.
Although some horses have irregular shaped heads.

Keep in mind, Noseband + two (both) Side of Face measurements should equal COMPLETE NOSE MEASUREMENT When the measurements are taken properly. Also the two (both) Cheek measurements added together should not be LONGER then the Over the Poll measurement. If not doubt measure just the poll area and add it to the two cheek measurements. I really don't think this is rocket science, just use some logic and you should do fine. |
